I think a lot of educators and especially IT administrators have an attitude towards learning technology that says, “If we build it, they will come.” The reality is more along the lines of, “If we build it, they will ignore it, and probably be annoyed at us for putting it in the way of what they REALLY want to be doing.”

Of course, if we build it and then tie it to relevant objectives and tasks, there can be value.
